Arthritis Exercise Instructor Needed!

Released: 12/1/2016

Community Partnership on Aging

In November we said goodbye to long-time instructor, Toni Arnold, but now we need to fill those shoes!

Community Partnership on Aging is seeking an individual who would lead Arthritis Exercise class for older adults on a contracted basis.  Beginning in January, the selected individual would take over the class in Lyndhurst completely and substitute for the class in Highland Heights while the regular instructor is out of town on extended vacation.  Classes are held weekly on the following schedule:

Lyndhurst:  Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30

Highland Heights, 10:30-11:30

Selected individual must have experience with or sensitivity to working with the older adult population.

Other requirements include:  AEA certification for Arthritis Exercise (paid by the individual); CPR certification (paid by individual); must carry their own personal insurance policy up to $1 million.  The individual would be responsible for meeting and greeting all older adult participants at the start of class and assisting them in completing any paperwork (for new participants) for submission to CPA staff on a timely basis.   The class must be lead according to Arthritis Foundation guidelines.

Instructor fee would be paid hourly (rate to be determined, based on experience and education).  Community Partnership on Aging DOES NOT charge a facility rental fee to instructors.

Send a resume and cover letter to contactus@communitypartnershiponaging.org.
